We're a team of passionate students who founded the IISE UJ Chapter to support and empower industrial engineering students at the University of Jordan. Since 2016, we've grown into one of Jordan's leading student organizations, connecting over 600 students and graduates. As part of the world's largest industrial engineering society, we offer professional development, community engagement, and charitable initiatives. Held on Feb 7–8, 2023 at the St. Regis Amman, the IISE UJ 5th Regional Conference focused on preparing innovative future engineers. It featured technical sessions, networking, and expo opportunities.
Held on February 5–6, 2024 at the Ritz-Carlton Amman, the IISE UJ 6th Regional Conference explored emerging trends and the rising importance of integrating AI into daily life. It offered impactful sessions and networking that supported the growth of future leaders.
Held on February 8–9, 2025 at the Four Seasons Amman, the IISE UJ 7th Regional Conference highlighted Gen Z’s role in leading the next industrial revolution. It featured forward-thinking discussions, networking opportunities, and insights that empowered young leaders to envision and shape the future.
The IISE UJ 5th Annual Regional Conference was successfully held on February 7–8, 2023, at the St. Regis Hotel in Amman. Under the theme “Preparing the Next Generation of Innovative Engineers,” the conference introduced new ideas in Industrial Engineering to students and graduates. The event brought together IISE members, academics, professionals, and university students who shared their knowledge, presented creative ideas, and engaged in valuable networking opportunities. Participants also benefited from courses, internships, and job opportunities offered through the expo booths.
The IISE University of Jordan Chapter hosted the 6th Annual Regional Conference on February 5–6, 2024 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Amman. Held under the theme “Emerging Trends: A Gate into the Future,” the event aimed to equip attendees with valuable insights into the latest global developments, innovations, and technological advancements. The conference brought together IISE members, academics, professionals, and university students to explore new trends, exchange knowledge, and engage in meaningful networking. It also sought to inspire and prepare future leaders to navigate and overcome the challenges of today’s rapidly evolving world.
The IISE University of Jordan Chapter successfully hosted the 7th Annual Regional Conference on February 8–9, 2025 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman. Held under the theme “Gen Z in the Driver’s Seat: Leading the Next Industrial Revolution,” the conference highlighted the innovation, creativity, and leadership of the new generation shaping the future of industries. The event brought together IISE members, academics, professionals, and aspiring industrial engineers to explore transformative ideas, exchange knowledge, and discuss the technological shifts defining the next era. Dr. Shahed Obeidat is the Academic Advisor of IISE and a Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Jordan. As the youngest faculty member in the College of Engineering, she represents a new generation of academic leadership, one rooted in connection, empowerment, and belief in the power of youth. Known for her inspiring mentorship, Dr. Obeidat is dedicated to guiding young engineers to unlock their potential, innovate with purpose, and thrive in their professional journeys.
